This route is not a promise of automatic registration. It is the sequence students should verify in writing before choosing a university.

Mandarin is the biggest practical barrier
English-medium MBBS does not make the local licensing route English-medium. Students should expect Chinese registration, exam material, clinical terminology, local medical law and patient communication. Basic conversational Chinese is not enough for a clinical licensing exam.
Practical verdict: possible for an eligible student, but high to very high difficulty without advanced medical Mandarin and a confirmed licensing-internship path.

Internship needs written confirmation
Students should not assume that the sixth-year university internship automatically satisfies the licensing-exam internship requirement. Ask whether an additional post-degree licensing internship is required and whether the university can arrange it.
The exam route is in Chinese
English-medium MBBS does not mean the Chinese licensing examination is available in English. Students should expect Chinese registration material, medical terminology, patient communication and clinical-law content.
At par for licensing does not mean identical employment rights
A foreign graduate may be allowed to use the professional qualification route, but employment, hospital sponsorship, work permit and residence permissions remain separate immigration and labour questions.

Can an Indian MBBS student get a medical licence in China?
There is a legal route for eligible foreign nationals with recognised Chinese medical qualifications, but it is not automatic. The student must meet internship, examination, registration and immigration requirements.
Is the Chinese licensing exam available in English?
Students should not assume an English clinical licensing exam. The ordinary route, announcements and clinical communication are in Chinese, so medical Mandarin is a major practical requirement.
Does China local licence eligibility help NMC/FMGL compliance?
For India-facing planning, students must verify that the foreign qualification is registerable in the country of study and that the local licensing route is available at par with citizens, subject to NMC/FMGL conditions.
