The official course-wise and institute-wise seat matrix for 2026-27 will be published before counselling.
Students should remember:
The 2026-27 seat matrix will decide available seats. Previous year seat matrix may be published for reference. Some institutes may have seats not offered through WBJEEB e-counselling. Those seats may not appear in the official WBJEEB seat matrix.
So students should not depend only on old data. They should check the latest official seat matrix before choice filling.

A separate counselling notification will be published after the result.
The counselling notification will explain:

Important Student Advice
Do not make these mistakes:
Do not ignore domicile rules. Do not claim a category without valid certificate. Do not fill choices randomly. Do not depend on unofficial YouTube or WhatsApp lists. Do not wait until the last day for counselling registration. Do not forget to download and save rank card. Do not assume that getting rank means guaranteed admission.
Final admission depends on rank, eligibility, documents, seat availability and counselling rules.
