Student actions
- Verify FMGL compliance before admission.
- Check duration, teaching language, syllabus, clinical training and internship structure.
- Treat later 2025 and 2026 alerts as extensions of the same compliance timeline.
8 August 2023 public notice
NMC reminded students that the FMGL Regulations, 2021 prescribe requirements on duration of study, medium of instruction, syllabus, clinical training and internship or clerkship.
The notice stated that any variation may lead to disqualification from registration in India, with responsibility lying with the candidate.
22 November 2024 public notice
NMC repeated the warning after observing that students continued to seek admission to private medical colleges abroad that did not adhere to NMC regulations.
The notice again advised students to ensure that all FMGL conditions were fulfilled before admission.
How these notices connect to later alerts
The 19 May 2025 advisory, 21 July 2025 alert and 1 April 2026 Uzbekistan alert all refer back to this same compliance foundation.
Students should read the timeline as one repeated NMC warning: verify the course before joining, because compliance is assessed when seeking registration in India.
